The Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon has released a statement in which they set a maximum price of 150,000 LL for the coronavirus test, as reported by the
National News Agency.
The ministry also announced an updated list of private laboratories that will be testing for the coronavirus in Lebanon as the Rafic Hariri University Hospital is reportedly nearing its capacity.
These include:
– American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), Bliss Street
– Saint George Hospital University Medical Center, Achrafieh
– LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital, Achrafieh
– Hotel-Dieu de France, Achrafieh
According to the ministry, any other hospital or private laboratory wishing to conduct the coronavirus test must submit an application, which will be reviewed by a specialized committee and approved by the ministry. They would also have to comply with the ministry’s pricing fee.
It’s important to note that this pricing is for individuals who would like to test
voluntarily, and NOT for those admitted to public hospitals for exhibiting symptoms.
