Did You Know This La Casa De Papel Character Was Born In Beirut?
After an extremely long wait, La Casa de Papel season 4 premiered on April 3rd, bringing back our favorite characters to the big screen.
One character who stood out to us in particular was Bogotá (no spoilers, we promise), whom we later learned was actually born in Beirut!
That’s right, Hovik Keuchkerian was born in Lebanon in 1972 to an Armenian father and a Spanish mother. His family moved to Spain when he was three years old, where he pursued a boxing career and was twice Spanish Heavy Weight Champion.
He then went on to become a stand-up comedian, writer, and an actor in one of our favorite series.
We don’t know about you, but we’re signing a petition to have him be named “Beirut” instead. What do you think?
