Disgusting: Local Man Puts Nigerian Woman Up “For Sale” On Facebook Marketplace

Horrifying screenshots of a Lebanese man named Wael Jerro advertising a migrant woman “for sale” circulated on social media and truly disgusted anyone with a conscience. Jerro wrote in his pathetic description, “a domestic worker from Nigeria for sale with new legal documents. She’s 30 years old, she’s very active and very clean, price: $1,000″.

Jerro put up a photo of the passport of the victim, Busari Peace, on a Facebook group called ‘Buy and Sell in Lebanon.’ Jerro has since removed the post, but luckily, screenshots exist and will hopefully haunt him. We have yet to hear of any legal action that will be taken against Jerro, and we call upon lawyers and security officials to act swiftly to put an end to his horrendous crime.

People are now calling on the Nigerian Embassy in Lebanon to come to Peace’s rescue. In response, The Chairman of the Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, said that the cause has been reported to the “concerned authorities”.

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons also said it has started working to locate and return Peace to her homeland.

If you know of any persons being trafficked, please send a tip to our page and we will try our best to shed light on the issue.
