Protestors Organzie Candlelight Vigil For Tripoli Martyr

In memory of Fawaz Fouad Samman, the 26-year-old Lebanese man who passed away earlier today, protestors are organizing a candlelight vigil, set to take place in front of Banque du Liban in Hamra, at 9 PM.

Fawaz was one of many young people who took to the streets in Tripoli last night to protest the terrible living conditions and dire economic situation. During violent clashes with the Lebanese army, he was shot with live ammunition, and succumbed to his wounds this morning.

His sister confirmed the death via Facebook, and now friends, family, and citizens are coming together to commemorate him in front of the main institution deemed responsible for the devaluation of the lira.
