This Twitter User Counted The Lights On During Gebran Bassil’s Interview
When Bassil promised 24/7 electricity in 2011, he was obviously talking about his own house. (This is the Diaspora House in Batroun, but honestly the joke slaps.)
During an interview with LBC’s Albert Kostanian, a Twitter user took the time to count the lights on in Gebran Bassil’s surroundings (there were 30 in just one frame). While most viewers are struggling with outages, paying hefty fees to keep a few lights on, and truly not knowing when they head for a complete blackout, it was interesting that this was the ex Minister of Energy’s venue of choice.
