Nana Is Donating Two Million Pads To The Women Of Beirut

In an attempt to combat period poverty in Lebanon, Nana Arabia is donating two million sanitary pads to the women of Beirut, in collaboration with local NGO, Dawrati.

Dawrati is a local initiative that was founded by three Lebanese heroes who are committed to helping girls and women in deprived areas get access to proper menstrual products.

The pads will be distributed by Beit El Baraka who are working relentlessly on ground to attend to the basic needs of all vulnerable families following the Beirut Port blast.

During these difficult times, period poverty has reached an all-time high as menstrual products have become much more expensive, making them inaccessible for many. As a way to cope, many women have reportedly resorted to using toilet paper, newspapers, and rags, all of which put their health at risk.

But in the past two weeks, Dawrati were able to distribute 2500 menstruation kits to affected families with the help of donors and NGOs.
