Footballer Mohammad Atwi Has Sadly Passed Away After Being Hit With Stray Bullet Last Month
After having been in critical condition for a month, Lebanese footballer Mohammad Atwi sadly passed away this morning. Atwe was hit by a stray bullet in the Cola area on August 21st and remained in a coma after brain surgery.
Atwe had coincidentally been in the area when a funeral procession for one of the August 4 bombing victims took place, during which unknown individuals shot in the air. How many more lives should be lost to stray bullets and gun accidents before we learn our lesson? Beirut cannot handle anymore grief.
