Exchange Rate Hits Staggering 9,100 LL On The Dollar This Morning

As Lebanon’s currency continues its free fall, the Lebanese Pound is reportedly selling at 9,100 to the dollar this morning. This is the worst it has been since July of 2020, when it hit 9,900.

This comes amid Lebanon’s harshest economic crisis to date, a crisis that no officials were held responsible for despite proven corruption and outward theft.

The crisis has left over 60% of Lebanon’s population in the clutches of poverty, and appears to have no end in sight – particularly with this political ruling class.
