World Bank Threatens To Stop Vaccine Support To Lebanon After Parliamentary Violations
Earlier this morning, it was announced that the Lebanese parliament was planning on vaccinating all members of parliament and staff above the age of 75.
This is a clear violation of the agreed upon plan with the World Bank as it allows these individuals to bypass the process of registering and waiting their turn.
In response to this news, the World Bank’s Regional Director issued the following tweet, urging politicians to abide by the agreement or else the WB would be suspending financing and support.

He says vaccination will be carried out in line with regulations… but declines to have media present or say at what time.
