Lebanon May Not Be Able To Generate Electricity Beyond March

Minister of Energy in Lebanon’s caretaker government Raymond Ghajar has revealed that the country may not be able to generate electricity beyond the month of March, as Lebanon’s money for power generation continues to dwindle.

According to L’Orient Le Jour, the state may be left unable to generate power unless financial support is received.

Since the government is currently in caretaker capacity, it cannot hold budget sessions to approve Ghajar’s emergency request for 1,500 Billion Lira.

Are we even surprised that the state can no longer provide us with basic necessities?
