Ammiq Wetland: The Must-Visit Land of Water Buffalos in Bekaa

Animal and adventure lovers, this one is for you! The last and largest remaining wetland in Lebanon, Ammiq Wetland, is a remnant of the extensive marshes that once spread across the Bekaa Valley. It also happens to hold an amazing wealth of nature and fauna!

Shake up your routine and get a dose of some much-needed nature therapy in this stunning area. Here, you’ll find water buffalos that live on the swamp! Watch the wild birds cross as the buffalos take a dip in the freshwater reserves.

A sight you don’t definitely don’t want to miss! Looks like it is straight out of a painting.

You can also go kayaking in the river! How cool is that?

Yalla, who’s up for a roadtrip to Ammiq Wetland?
