The Silk Valley: A Stunning Retreat In Arbanieh

Tucked away in the scenic area of Arbanieh is one of the newest and most magnificent retreats in Lebanon.

Aptly named The Silk Valley, this spot is a resort and wellness retreat in the home of an old silk factory. The Hamada Silk Works Factory first opened its doors in 1851, and closed sometime during WWI. It is now welcoming visitors once again in a new and revamped identity, a wellness center and bed and breakfast with stunning views.

The Silk Valley boasts stunning rooms that are flooded with natural light. The resort itself also houses an infinity pool and a spa that will make you forget all your worries (or, many of them).

For accommodation, you can either book the 2-storey private villa they have on the premises which houses two bedrooms, or opt for the magnificent duplex room that is a modern dream! All six of the spa rooms overlook a historic monastery, a seasonal river ravine, and vast scenes of pine and oak trees.

In the morning, wake up in the quaint and quiet area, and enjoy an authentic Lebanese breakfast. After that you can spend the day hiking in the area, and taking in some nature.

An ideal spot for a couples getaway or a friends’ night out of town, this spot is guaranteed to help you make the best memories.

For a pool-side lunch, you can enjoy a variety of Italian specials like pizzas and pastas, as well as The Silk Valley’s in-house made wine!
