Man Sets Himself On Fire In Tripoli Due To Economic Conditions

According to Annahar, an unidentified man has self immolated in the northern city of Tripoli.

He reportedly could no longer afford to feed his family due to the horrifying economic crisis in Lebanon.

His family managed to save him at the last moments, after which he was taken to Al Salam Hospital for treatment.

More than 50% of the Lebanese population currently falls under the poverty line, with many no longer being able of securing basic necessities like food.
