Lady Liberty Of Beirut – Artists of Lebanon

After the October 17 revolution, thousands of artists across Lebanon came together to create beautiful artwork that will forever commemorate the unity and solidarity we experienced during those days. Despite the fact that art related to the Beirut explosion has recently gotten some criticism, some artists still insist that this is a way to honor the victims who have not yet gotten justice.

Meet Hayat Nazer, a social activist and ongoing artist that has crafted numerous beautiful statues from the remains of devastation. Lady of Liberty is her most recent sculpture, check out the video below in which she explains how it was made, and the reason behind it.
