Introducing Lebanon’s First Public Skatepark
Skaters of Beirut, unite!
The Snoubar Skatepark project is reclaiming public spaces and is on its way to build Lebanon’s first public skatepark!
Located in Horsh Beirut, their main goal is set on increasing the social well-being of the youth through skateboarding. After the devastating August 4 explosion, the skating community found itself in limbo, as several of their impromptu skate parks were severely damaged.
The project aims to also offer free skating classes and skateboard programs, as well as skating equipment for those in need. The project has been on going for quite a while and is on its way to completion.

Today, the Lebanese skateboarding community is back stronger than ever. Pushing the confines of gender and age, these incredible young athletes are skating around the city, and doing it in style. Check out the video below:
