Woman Dies One Year After The Port Blast
One year later, and the Beirut explosion is still reaping victims.
On August 4 of 2020, Arlette Kattah was among many others who suffered severe injuries due to the explosion. She was described as generous, loving, and a dedicated humanitarian. Due to the physical trauma caused by the blast, Arlette fell into a coma. On August 4 of 2021, Arlette passed away after a long struggle, exactly one year later.
Our hearts go out to Arlette and her family. She, like many others, was an innocent victim of a corrupt system. A year later, and the list of victims continues to grow. This is yet another reminder of why we should go to the streets and demand justice, not only for those who died as a result of the blast but those who continue to suffer from its trauma.
