Berrad El Hay: Over 800 Meals A Day To Families In Need

Founded by Nayla Frem Sayegh and inspired by the concept of community fridges, Berrad El Hay was launched in 2019 in an effort to fight food poverty by delivering meals to people who need them! Now, amidst a worsening crisis, Berrad El Hay has been working harder than ever.

Their community fridges offer free meals to people who don’t have access to food. Making ends meet has become increasingly difficult for so many during these crises, but thankfully, the wonderful people behind Berrad El Hay are working to make hot meals accessible.

As of June 30, Berrad del Hay has distributed food packs to hundreds of struggling families and cooked 16,000 meals to people from all over the country!

You can get involved by either cooking meals from home for the fridge, packing any extra food you have in their special box, or you can donate ingredients to their kitchen and replenish their stock.

The community fridges are available in various locations, and people often turn to them when they are unable to ensure their food security.
