Reactons To Kordahi Forbidding “Assault on Dignity of Politicians”

While meeting with a delegation from the Lebanese Press Editor’s Syndicate, Minister of Information Georges Kordahi (possibly better known for his stint on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire) expressed his desire to restrict press freedoms.

Kordahi was quoted saying, “[We need] laws such as those in France – the mother of freedoms – which forbid assaults against the dignity of politicians”. Lol. We weren’t aware Lebanese politicians had any dignity — they all seem to be lying, cheating, thieving murderers! But we stand corrected?
