The National Women Basketball League Puts A Smile on Lebanese Faces

Last Thursday morning, the Lebanese Women’s National Basketball team flew to Jordan to compete in the 2021 Division B of FIBA Women’s Asia Cup.

The team proudly won their first match on Sunday, November 7 against Iran, with the game closing at a 66- 64 score. They landed a spot in Division A. Aida Bakhos was the scorer of the win, with 17 points and 6 rebounds skillfully delivered!

Coached by George Geagea and led by Rebecca Akl, the team is ready to play its second game against the Syrian National Team, which will take place tomorrow on Tuesday, November 9th.

Lebanese women athletes are giving their best performance on the court this year, and we’re here to cheer them on!
