Despite the fact that over 50 women came forward to share their traumatizing experiences with Marwan Habib reportedly sexually assaulting and harassing them, Lebanese authorities failed to uphold the safety of women and citizens by letting him run free and even travel.
Now, we are very happy to report that this criminal has finally been charged in Miami, Florida, after he assaulted a woman in her hotel room. Habib now has a double charge of sex battery, as well as burglary and assault. He is in jail with no bond.

While this took place in the United States, we would be remiss not to mention the efforts of the amazing lawyer Kareem Majbour who took on the cases of dozens of women against Marwan. Majbour repeatedly worked with the survivors, ensuring their anonymity and safety against harassment in an attempt to put Marwan behind bars.
A smart girl sent my number to Marwan Habib while chatting with him. I didnt have the chance to answer your call, i promise you my answer will be in court! pic.twitter.com/wcR3Rlyydk

It’s unfortunate that he got off the hook so many times in Lebanon. Our authorities need to take rape and assault charges seriously.
In 2019, we published this story about serial harasser and abuser Marwan Habib and faced a ton of backlash from people defending him and discrediting his victims. Yesterday, he was arrested in Miami for assaulting a woman. He now faces charges. https://t.co/TJV1P19mxK

Back in 2019, we wrote about Marwan’s pattern of sexual assault and harassment only to be met with questions of, “how do you know it’s true?”
