“False Prophet” Nasha’t Arrested, While Real Criminals Run Free

Last month, celebrity astrologer Carmen Chammas turned heads when she introduced the public to “a God-sent prophet” named Nasha’t Majd El-Nour. Chammas’s outlandish comments linked to Nasha’t (most notably, grapes are fish and other gems) caught the attention of many who became intrigued by the so-called prophet, even if only for a laugh.

On Tuesday evening, State Security arrested Nasha’t Monzer (his birth name) for the ‘crime’ of claiming prophethood, despite the fact that the extent of his power is YouTube videos and self-proclaimed prophecy.

In 2019, one of the biggest orchestrated financial crises in the world would rob the Lebanese people of their money. On August 4, 2020, a combination of criminal negligence, greased palms, and utter disregard for human life resulted in 2750 tonnes of explosives detonating in the heart of our city. More than 225 people died and lives were ruined. We would love to see those arrest warrants honored.

It is interesting to see that the most inane sections of the law are still being upheld in the land of lawlessness.
