Lebanese Youth Hostel Federation

The Lebanese Youth Hostels Federation (Hi-Lebanon) is a Non-Governmental Organization founded in 1965. LYHF is a member of Hosteling International, a worldwide chain of more than 4,000 hostels in more than 70 countries. The LYHF is also a member of the Arab Youth Hostel Union.

Their mission is spreading the culture of youth tourism, by encouraging travel from Lebanon to the outside world, and vice versa, as well as supporting the local economy in Lebanon by boosting the country’s total number of tourists and visitors, which creates job opportunities, especially in remote areas. They function as an umbrella that provides support and activity coordination for associations that run hostels locally.
