Et exultavit spiritus meus…by Antonins University Choir (Conducted by RF Toufic Maatouk)

This year program feature two new programs, the Francesco Durante’s “Magnificat in B Major” and Mozart’s “Et incarnatus Est”, Performed by the Antonine University choir with three young Lebanese talents; Nadine Nassar (Frederic Chopin Academy-Warsaw), Ziad Nehmé(Mozarteum- Salzburg/ Stadttheater Bremerhaven- Germany), Roger Abi nader (Antonine University Choir). The program presents a marriage of early baroque and classical music that influenced the sacred repertoire and the Christmas tradition especially the “Magnificat in B Major” (First performance in Lebanon) one of the famous Neapolitan composing in the history of sacred music of the 16th century. The Antonine University choir will have the pleasure to perform also this program, a repertoire of Christmas traditional songs and syro-maronite traditional music composed and arranged by two Lebanese composers Fr. Joseph waked and Fr. Fady Taouk. The choir is accompanied by a chamber orchestra conducted by Fr.Toufic Maatouk.
Classical
