Elie Khoury

Elie Khoury revealed his music passion at the early age of 11, when he started learning Oud at the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory.

At the age of 13, he won the UNICEF competition, in which he represented Lebanon in Holland. Self-taught, he got to explore the Buzuk. He is now considered as one of the best performers on this instrument. He also wrote a teaching method for it.

He performed in many renowned festivals in Europe and the Arab World, (Festival du Oud – IMA 2011, Festival de la Musique du Monde – Marseille 2011, Shanghai World Expo 2010, Festival de musique Arabe – Abu Dhabi 2007, Bahrain 2008…)

Elie is featured on many recordings as a session musician (Charbel Rouhana, Ghada Shbeir, Hiba Tawaji…)
