Souk el Tayeb is Beirut’s first modern farmer’s market. It started in 2004 as a small one man business and successfully grew to become a vibrant organization working on many projects both nationally and internationally. Souk el Tayeb’s vision is to celebrate food & traditions that unite communities and support small-scale farmers and producers.
Present at Souk Al Tayeb this Saturday was a stand for The Carton, a new independent quarterly magazine about food, culture and Lebanon. For one day only, they will be offering the beloved food community, a copy of the magazine for free. The Carton will be joining the farmers this Saturday with their very own stand at Souk el Tayeb. Straw hat and sunglasses recommended. It will be sunny!
