On the occasion of World Refugee Day 2012, the UN Refugee Agency is pleased to present the talent of 10 Iraqi artists who fled their country in the aftermath of the Iraq war.

'Itinéraires' underlines the path taken by many refugees for whom the choice has often been between the horrific or something worse. Forced to flee to find safety and rebuild their lives, these Iraqi painters express their perseverance, courage and hope through art.

Artists include: Ahmad Abdulrazzak, Ahmad Baban, Amer Ali, Ataa Baghdadi, Deaa Aljazaeri, Mouhanad Walid, Waddah Mahdi, Omr Odeh, Jasim Mohammed Maidb, Ahmad Ramadan

Special acknowledgement to the Art Factum Gallery for kindly hosting the exhibition.
