Iran Bans Women from University Courses

Iran has excluded women from 77 courses in 36 participating universities in the coming academic year, labeling a wide range of courses from English literature to industrial engineering as “single gender.”

Facing criticism from parliament, the science and higher education minister, Kamran Daneshjoo, noted that single gender courses were needed to create balance as female students outnumber and outperform males at the academic level.

Wow. Just wow.

Right, because if women enter the work force it gives them less time to make babies and more time to question male superiority. And we can’t have that!
