Tim Exile and Wetrobots ♥ Bosaina Live at Metro Al Madina

Saturday, Oct 6, 2012
9:30pm -> 1:30am
Metro Al Madina

In collaboration with the Share Beirut conference, Metro Al Madina will be hosting musical acts Tim Exile and Wetrobots.

Tim Exile is a musical genius, geek and entertainer at the same time. A violinist with a degree in philosophy and master’s degree in electro-acoustic composition. Apart from the music transition and progress, dissatisfied with the possibilities given by conventional DJ set and traditional equipment, Tim started to program his own gear and subsequently got officially engaged with Native Instruments, the largest technology company in the world that develops software and hardware for music production and DJing. Three live sets often compared are Beardyman, Jamie Lidell and Tim Exile, since they all use voice with heaps of instruments and equipment on the stage.

Wetrobots ♥ Bosainais an electronic music outfit hailing from Cairo, Egypt consisting of DJ/Production Duo Ismail Hosny and Hussein El Sherbini, and outspoken female front-woman Bosaina.

One of Cairo’s more distinctive sound combinations, Wetrobots ♥ Bosaina electro-crashed their way into the underground music scene in Cairo with their debut EP “Bang & Blow”. With hard-hitting beats and cheeky vocals, Wetrobots explore the sounds of their chaotic environment whilst Bosaina serves a very relatable brand of social commentary on youth culture in politically unstable times. Wetrobots ♥ Bosaina have recently amassed an interesting following of Egyptian escapists and electronic music fans. Wetrobots ♥ Bosaina are currently in the studio mixing their new EP “Paragon”.
