A popular hashtag in August, it seems #BlameBassil is beginning to resurface.
Tweep @LeNajib posted this pic of Arabic graffiti at Zahret el Ihsan, with the words “No electricity in Lebanon. Who do we blame?” And the resounding cries of Lebanese people everywhere reply unanimously, “Blame Bassil!”
I would feel sorry for our Energy Minister, Gebran Bassil, but I mean, we do raise a valid point. What exactly is he minister-ing if our electricity remains as inefficient as it was nearly a decade ago? I gotta join the crowds on this one. When in doubt, blame Bassil.
At least until the electricity gets fixed. (If it ever does).
