Naharnet reports that a 25-year-old Lebanese man swallowed the diamonds in an attempt to smuggle them between South Africa’s Johannesburg and Dubai.

Paul Ramaloko, spokesman of the South Africa elite police unit, remarked that they “nabbed him just before he went through the security checkpoint,” saying, “We had to take him through the X-ray and take them out from his body.”
