A Tower of Tanks

A thought-provoking monument lies in Jamhour, depicting a decades old civil war through architecture.

Tweeted by @Skytwitius, the monument features stacks upon stacks of crushed tanks embedded in what appears to be cement, with their guns aimed forward in unity. To me, the structure seems to symbolize the passing of war, in that time will change and pain and wounds will vanish and heal. To others, the tanks might be a symbol of strength, or military prowess. Whichever way you choose to look at it, the tower is undoubtedly nostalgic, with its obvious portrayal of war.
