Trending on twitter and the weather channel, the Beirut storm—which you have to admit is beautiful in a scary, thunderous way—has been one of the worst we’ve seen in decades. Hail and snow have come back to Achrafieh and Beirut after years of absence, much to my utmost joy and suffering. Because I completely forgot how cold it could get.

I’m currently wearing two pairs of socks, three shirts, a sweater, boots, a scarf and gloves. And I’m loving it. Stay warm Lebanon.
