Nahnoo, a youth-lead organization that promotes self-development and self-expression in the young Lebanese population, has taken the reigns of the campaign to re-open Horsh Beirut by creating an online petition that asks the Beirut Municipality for clarity.

"We, Lebanese citizens, demand from the municipality of Beirut to set a clear date for the re-opening of Horsh Beirut to all of us with no exceptions."

Thus far, a report by Elle De France regarding the re-opening is currently in the process of being translated and approved. After approval, three more months are required for Elle De France to write a detailed management plan, followed by another five months to hire a company to manage the space.

That means that--should everything go according to schedule--Horsh Beirut won't be open until at least 8 months from now.

At present, the Nahnoo team is giving the Beirut Municipality one month to translate and approve the report before taking "new action to accelerate the process."
