5 Things Sheep Do During Eid al-Adha

It’s that time of year again: Eid al-Adha. On this day, we celebrate with family gatherings, new clothes (tyeb el eid), fireworks, and of course, the customary sacrifice of sheep.

That’s what we humans do at least. Sheep have been known to display some odd behaviors around this time though…

1. They lay low for a while

They don’t even answer your calls.

2. They freak out when they see you preparing rice

Must be some bizarre phobia or something.

3. They frequently preach the nutritional benefits of chicken

Made-up benefits too for that matter.

4. They tend to overdo their outfits

It’s almost like they’re trying to avoid us for some reason.

5. They’re unusually nice to everyone

Awww, they’re sweethearts aren’t they? I could just eat them up…
