Hiking in Hardine with Vamos Todos

Sunday, Dec 22, 2013
7:30am -> 5:00pm

Situated in the middle of Batroun, Hardine is a quiet and peaceful village with 36 churches and convents, and is the place where Saint Naamtallah El Hardini was born.

An old Roman temple still remains on the upper hill of Hardine, where you can see the Mediterranean to the west and the famous cedar forest of Tannourine to the east.

The hike will be divided into two levels:

Level 3 is an easy hike, inside the village’s old trails and roads. During the hike, participants will visit the old churches and the house where the saint was born.

Level 6 is a moderate hike. It will start with a two-hour uphill walk to the Roman temple and then after a short break, it will proceed downhill to an old convent that is hidden between the trees. Both levels will meet for lunch at a cozy place, where villagers will prepare a tasty Lebanese lunch.
