The world of healthcare is confronting challenges from all sides: an aging population, increasing incidences of lifestyle-related diseases, higher expectations of care, shrinking budgets and rising costs. These coupled with the rapid changes in technology are challenging the health-care systems across the globe. In this talk, we get insight into how Philips’ global design team is helping make sense of these changes so we can all understand the most meaningful methods to reimagine the experiences that can (and will) save lives.

Rik Runge is Interaction Design Consultant for healthcare products and services at Philips Design. He is responsible for creating digital solutions that optimize the healthcare experience.

T+LOCAL believes in bringing design practice and innovation power to local contexts. We use our creative methods, processes and tools to tackle social challenges in different fields. We work with educational institutes, housing corporations, welfare organizations, local partnerships, health organizations and many more. The innovators at T+LOCAL organize tailored workshops for any context. Workshop to provide fresh insights about the situation, to improve collaboration within your organization, to support value creation processes, to co-create implementation plans or to energize and empower people. Dennis Meulenbroeks is the founder and CEO of T+HUIS organization, the Netherlands.

Niels Bakkerus, works as a freelance type designer, illustrator and artist. The main ingredients of his work are based on typography, graffiti, street art and illustration.
