Six Ways To Help The Needy This Holiday Season

The best part of the holiday season is not necessarily the festivities; rather, it is that our charitable nature comes out. And although we should act charitably all year and throughout all the seasons, Christmastime is a great start. Here are six ways you can get involved this season.

1. Dress Those In Distress

Check the link above for ways to contact their volunteers and aid in bringing some warmth to their lives.

UV Lab invites you to its unique event, “Binzen Wsikh” taking place at Metro al Madina on Saturday December 13. For just $20 you can enjoy a line-up of several Lebanese and Arab bands playing everything from rock to rap, and the best part is that all proceeds will go to Syrian refugee camps in order to help them get through winter.

5. Jahida Wehbe Fundraising Concert:

A fundraising concert featuring Jahida Wehbe will be taking place at Masrah al Madina on December 21. This concert is to be the first step of many in a campaign designed to develop sustainable water and sanitation solutions for refugees and their host communities in Lebanon. This unique fundraising project aims to provide people with access to clean water, thus reducing personal and environmental health risks.

6. Make Your Own Difference

Most importantly, you can make a difference in your own community. Small-scale community outreach programs can be just as effective as the large fundraisers. We all know families or individuals that could use a helping hand, whether you choose to help out by giving out clothes or food that will ease their financial burdens. Or, if you are able to give even more, helping out with school tuition or other more hefty expenses – you would be changing someone’s life in an immeasurable way.
