Lebanese Ministers Sorry for Environmental Disaster, Decide to Plant a Tree
In an effort to make a dent in the catastrophic environmental effects of the recent trash crisis, Lebanese Ministers have put their thinking caps on and have finally come up with a plan that is sure to please everyone: they are going to plant a single tree near Riad el Solh Square.
“We wanted to help,” said a minister who chose to remain anonymous, stating that it took over ten meetings before they agreed on what type of tree to plant. “We wanted to get it right,” he said, “We know things have been really tense so the type of tree we picked had to bring joy and happiness.”
They picked a plastic Christmas tree. It will be planted in phases over the next couple of years.
“There,” stated one of the stellar Ministers “that should do it.”
