Dead Ends

Saturday, Oct 31, 2015
8:00pm -> 11:00pm
Station Beirut

An interactive solo performance by and with Nadine Sures for the exhibit Loose Ends by Noor Haydar.

Improvisation: a body meanders through a kaleidoscope of voices, gestures and forms, inspired by content within Haydar’s exhibit. Instantaneous composition, deconstruction of physical narrative frames, abstraction of sound and movement; setting in motion the void that follows the dead end.

Nadine Sures is an interdisciplinary artist currently living in Beirut who has worked professionally and internationally as a performer, director, producer and teacher for the last 20 years. Recipient of the Victor Martyn Lynch-Staunton Award, a prestigious award for outstanding artistic achievement by Canadian mid-career artists, Nadine established herself as an interdisciplinary artist in Montreal and Beirut by showcasing her own creations across Canada, Europe and the Middle-East. Nadine is a certified teacher of Action TheaterTM, an improvisational theatre training and performance technique.
