Bahiyya at Mezyan

Bahiyya is a contemporary Egyptian band that ‘plays oriental and revolutionary music. Members of the band met each other by chance at the Occupy Cabinet Sit-in while singing same revolutionary songs (by Sheikh Sayyid Darwish, Sheikh Imam, Sheikh Zakariyya Ahmad, Badie’ Khairy, Ahmad Fouad Negm, Naguib Sorour, Zein Al Abedeen Fouad, Fouad Qa’oud, and others).

Bahiyya is known for its activist spirit while performing songs from the Egyptian and Arab revolutionary folklore.
