Shogun

Shogun offers a mix of Chinese and traditional Japanese cuisine, such as Sushi, Teppan Yaki, Teriyaki and Tempura.

The food is immaculately presented and the Japanese chefs are located in the middle of the restaurant, preparing your dinner in front of you. The food is well above average price, attracting a classy and upmarket crowd that verges on to pretentious, which will have you feeling slightly out of your depth. The fish isn’t as fresh as we expected, which is disappointing given Shogun’s motto of “freshness”, however, it’s still delicious and surprisingly filling.

The crowd ranges from those on a romantic dinner date, to highflying businessmen and women looking for an evening treat with clients, colleagues and friends.

Our recommendation: the spicy salmon salad.
