Check Out This Awesome And Affordable Vintage Shop In Mar Mikhael

You might already know about the vintage clothing and jewelry shop at the end of Mar Mikhael called Depot-Vente. It was mentioned to me recently, and I couldn’t believe there was a vintage clothing shop in Beirut that had items for prices lower than the triple digits. So naturally, I wanted to check it out for myself.
The clothes at Depot-Vente are heavily used, but luckily the majority of them are well preserved because they are high quality in the first place. There are stacks of genuine leather jackets, a wide selection for men, and quite a few options for women as well. They have a selection of theatrical-wear including sequined outfits and shoes. There are used leather shoes, sleek vintage winter coats, a selection of skirts, and a few stacks of vintage pants and jeans.

Depot Vent is quite small with lots and lots of items stacked, so you’ll definitely need some time to sift through everything. The small shop is actually quite charming; I was in such close quarters with the other customers that I actually think I made a few friends in there. The Depot-Vente staff is very friendly, assisting with pricing as well as lending opinions and suggestions.
Skirt for 3,000 L.L (not a typo!)
I controlled myself and only bought two items; an off-white leather jacket by Nine Lives for just 30,000 LL – a little scuffed but still in good condition. The second, a long fitted nude-colored skirt with a slit. This skirt is clearly from a different generation but happens to fit modern trends as well. It is made by a French brand called Ca Va Bien and was just 10,000 LL – no haggling was involved. These prices represent the majority of the items they had. I was in the shop for around an hour and the highest price I heard the sales woman say was 50,000 LL. I let go of a French-made black silk high waisted skirt, priced at 10,000 LL, and an oversized navy blue thin wool trench coat, priced at 20,000 LL so, you’re welcome.
