UAE to Open Electronic Visa Center in Beirut Next Month

Omar Obaid Al Shamsi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, made the announcement on September 28 by. He said the new center is part of efforts to strengthen ties and cooperation between Lebanon and the UAE.
What Will the New Center Do?
The center will allow people in Lebanon to complete procedures related to their UAE visa applications from within Lebanon, with the aim of making the process quicker and more streamlined.
According to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the center is intended to shorten the visa application process and make things more convenient for applicants, while still following the regulations and requirements set by the relevant UAE authorities.
The ministry also described the center as part of the UAE’s broader move toward digital government services, saying it will use digital solutions to simplify procedures and provide a more flexible experience for applicants both inside and outside the UAE.

The center is expected to open in Beirut in October 2026, but several practical details have not yet been announced.
The UAE has yet to announce the center’s exact location, opening hours, appointment process, fees, or the specific types of visa applications and procedures it will handle. The authorities are expected to share more information as the opening date approaches.
