6 Things To Do In Batroun In The Winter

The beautiful coastal town of Batroun almost always reminds us of summer and the great memories spent there, but there’s more to the Batroun district that you’d know. Here’s what you can do during winter:

Staycation in a heated bungalow or cave

Batroun Village Club has bungalows and caves that are heated and perfectly equipped for those cold winter nights. Spend a weekend on Batroun hills, while you watch the rain pour from the comfort of a cozy wooden shelter.

Grilled chestnuts, potatoes, cheese and wine at Colonel Beer Brewery

Colonel has found a way to keep us coming, even in the winter. Have Batroun Mountains wine or their signature beers alongside deliciously grilled winter delicacies.

Hiking in Smar Jbeil

Nestled on a coastal hill in the district of Batroun, Smar Jbeil is one of the oldest villages in Lebanon. Because of the Church of Saint Nohra and a castle of Phoenician origin, a hike around this village at this time of year can be quite magical. Contact Vamos Todos for organized hikes, or just round up your friends and drive up there.

Dinner at a seaside restaurant

Bistr’eau is chill bistro located at L’Auberge de La Mer in Batroun. They serve a wide selection of seafood dishes, along with delectable signature cocktails. All the aforementioned and a spectacular view!

We all know and have come to love Pierre & Friends in the summer, but something you might not have known is that this beach bar is equally fun and relaxing in the winter, and they serve mouthwatering fondue as well!

A different clubbing experience than Beirut

Hype is a bar/club located on Batroun’s main road. They have a cozy indoor venue with DJs spinning all night long and an outside terrace.

Winery

Ixsir is located in Basbina in the Batroun district, and not only will you enjoy a tour in the underground wine cellars they have, but you will also get to taste the scrumptious menu by Nicolas Audi à la Maison d’IXSIR, and the terrace outside is absolutely breathtaking.

Biking in the old souk

It’s not raining this weekend, and there’s an event on Saturday where you will get to bike on the coastal road from Jounieh to Chekka that passes through Batroun’s old souk. So enjoy the chilly weather, and the refreshing exercise.
