Friday:
Early Spring Camp
What: The sun’s out, the spring season is commencing, and that means camping is back! Prepare yourself for the bonfires for the cold nights, the open sky, star gazing locations, the sun theater to enjoy the sunset, and all the hummocks, all this is waiting for you this weekend.
What: Stefano Noferini is a name synonymous with the finest quality tech house and techno, and he’s gracing Beirut with his presence at Lebanon’s very own underground shelter turned party-house.
What: How about we jumpstart the summer season with winter pedalling, swimming and tanning. Join the Kayak tour on the coastal road of Batroun – Kfaraabida, which will include some touristic information and a visit to the famous rocks of Kfaraabida.
A Night in Tehran feat. Borna Farshid & Fardin Ameri
What: Two rising stars of the Iranian electronic scene will be performing at Yukunkun, for another wild musical journey, with Fardin Ameri and Borna Farshid.
What: Ali Baba, Madhumita and Hugo will cook Arabic Indian food, and the delicious menu will include butter chickpeas curry, cumin and coriander rice, lentil soup, and batata Ali Baba.
What: In this poetry workshop we’ll be bringing our families to the (writing) table. We’ll talk to them, about them, through them; we’ll agonize, celebrate, condemn, discover, and maybe even release them through poetry. At the very least we’ll begin a conversation… with them.
What: Tarek will teach you the basics methods to make the lovely pieces dating back to native American culture. And the greatest part is the spectacular view – one of our favorites in the land – you’ll have while you work on the dreamcatchers.
What: This one’s for the reading lovers. They are starting their book club circles as of March; first book on the discussion table is Daniel Quinn’s “Beyond Civilization: Humanity’s Next Great Adventure”. This amazing small book explores the self-sustaining nature of tribal societies and puts into perspective the current worldwide ecological and economic crises. Sukha Hassane Mourad will be facilitating the first discussion over a nice cup of cocoa.
