Lebanese Minister Of Education Cancels Brevet Official Exams
Lebanese Minister of Education Tarek Majzoub has announced the cancellation of official exams for Brevet students. There are no details on official exams for terminal students at the moment.
This comes after much back-and-forth on the destiny of official exams in Lebanon, with the Minister previously announcing that exams will not be cancelled.
But now it seems he’s had a change of heart, taking into consideration all the obstacles that this school year had been facing.
Following the coronavirus outbreak, the Lebanese Ministry of Education decided to close schools and universities back in late February, approving a distant learning plan. According to the government’s 5-phase plan to ease lockdown in the country, schools and universities will re-open on June 8.
