Batroun is one of the oldest cities in the world, and one of the prettiest coastal towns in Lebanon. You’ll need a few days to visit all of the secret spots in Batroun that make it one of Lebanon’s most desirable destinations, and here’s what you’ve got to eat, drink, and see while you’re there!

1. Hilmi’s

Nothing says Batroun quite like a refreshing glass of ice cold freshly-made lemonade. Hilmi’s has been serving up some of the best icy drinks for decades, and makes it all using fresh and natural ingredients. They also make delicious smoothies and ice cream, all of which are made in-house using fresh produce, locally sourced goods, and no preservatives whatsoever!

2. The Aquarium

The aquarium’s timeworn walls serve as an informal exhibition space of graffiti and urban art. Wanderers will find themselves gazing at the tower’s striking interior, and the curious ones might even sneak into this spiral edifice.

3. Bolero

A beautiful garden right by the beach in Batroun – what more could we ask for? Bolero is the it-place to hang out with friends (whether furry or not). Bolero’s laid-back atmosphere will charm you both day and night.

4. The Phoenician Wall

Experience an exhilarating 360 degree view of the Phoenician Wall in Batroun, one of Lebanon’s most breathtaking natural spaces.

5. Saydet El Bahr

The seaside church is charming, serene, and simply magical.

6. Jammal

Tucked away in a small bay, this is a spot where you can spend the entire day swimming, lunching, and basking in the sunlight. Nothing will tickle your summer fancy more than feasting on seafood while your toes are in the water.

7. Georges Maalouf Kitchen

The best damn octopus sandwich can be found at George Maalouf Kitchen! Squid ink, shrimp, and calamari, all made with a delectable marinade at amazing prices. Grab your sandwich and walk around the beautiful Batroun Souk.

8. Royal Pizza

Fresh ingredients, in-house made dough, and some of the best damn pizzas you’ll try! Royal’s Pizza is a fast food joint where you can grab a classic Lebanese pizza with a side of fries after a long day at the beach. It’s sure to hit the spot.

9. Colonel

For the people who are more partial towards beer, visit Colonel Brewery where you can try their different kinds of beer. We recommend the oh so delicious Passion Fruit beer.
