Online Shopping Site “Lebelik” To Close Due To Economic Situation

With the current financial and economic crisis rapidly worsening with every day, it is no secret that this has taken a toll on many local businesses forcing them to shut down.

In a post shared on their Instagram page, the beloved e-commerce site “Lebelik” which had helped Lebanese designers share their work with people around the world announced that they will be closing down until further notice due to the trying economic situation.

“This past year has been challenging for all of us, to say the least. It is with a heavy heart we announce that as of October 4th, Lebelik will be temporarily closing. You will be able to place your orders and shop till the 3rd of October. Our stories and instagram will remain active still with a mission and hope to give a voice to our wonderful Lebanese Designers, however the website activities will be suspended for the time being. We would like to thank all of you, our loyal customers, our talented designers, our followers our supporters and everyone who helped make this experience a beautiful one, goodbye for now, we hope to be back soon,” their caption read.

Lebelik has been celebrating Lebanese fashion and design for 9 years now. We can’t help but think of all the employees and businesses that are paying the price for a crisis they’re not responsible for.
