We Visited This Abandoned Raouche Spot So You Don’t Have To

Coming across abandoned spots in Beirut often has us wondering about all the stories that existed back when they were pumping with life. This time, we let our intrusive thoughts win and decided to check out what was once the iconic La Terrasse Dbaibo in Raouche.

Established back in 1926, this forgotten gem was once one of the most iconic restaurants in the city, known for having the best view of Raouche Rock. You could enjoy a variety of dishes, as the spot boasted 100 different kinds of Lebanese appetizers, barbecue, and seafood—not to mention the mouthwatering desserts that perfectly wrapped up every meal.

Stepping into Dbaibo, we could almost imagine the life it led before closing down. While the view remains as magnificent as ever, not much is left of the restaurant’s interior. However, we did find a bunch of receipts from 2010 *cries in dollar crisis*.
