9 Indoor Activities In Beirut That Are Still Fun In This Weather

We get it, you can’t stay home for more than two days in a row. Since the weather hasn’t been all that helpful, here are a few ideas for indoor activities that you can still enjoy regardless of the weather.

1. Head over to Centro Mall and make a choice: Smash It, Multiverse, or Battle Square?

Do you want to de-stress by smashing everything in sight at Smash It? Or do you want to keep it simple with fun boardgames at Multiverse? Or how about an exhilarating game of laser tag at Battle Square? The sky’s the limit. You can do all three in one day.

2. Go to a throwback hoodie party at Living Room, and the dress code is…hoodie

The best thing about this event is the dress code because you know you won’t be dressed in anything else in this weather. Put on your favorite hoodie and head over to Living Room, where DJ Ghadi will be mixing some groovy tunes for you to dance to.

3. Get inspired with a Sip and Paint night at Cheers to Painting

We’re not sure if it’s the paint or the wine that will inspire you, but we welcome either (or both) possibilities. Cheers to Painting‘s Paint and Wine studio is a great place to visit with your friends, whether you’re there to tap into your inner artist or simply enjoy a few glasses of wine in the company of cool people.

4. Have a laugh at Riwaq‘s weekly open mic night

They say laughter is the best medicine, and it’s also a simple idea for an outing that will fail you less than 1% of the time. The charming café and cultural space welcomes to their stage a bunch of local talents looking to make it big – and it’s not limited to just stand-up comedy!

5. Visit On Board and challenge your friends to a game of Dungeons & Dragons

P.S. before all the nerds hunt us down, we know the picture is not a game of D&D.

You can book an amazing D&D session in On Board’s designated D&D room, and one of their amazing staff members will be your Dungeon Master. They also have an insane collection of boardgames for you to enjoy, and their food is actually pretty good.

6. Spend the day bowling and playing arcade games at Score

When in doubt, a friendly game of bowling should do the trick. In case you ever forget that this place exists in Hamra, we’re here to remind you that it’s always fun to feel a bit of nostalgia and tap into your inner child.

7. Treat yourself to Namat‘s energizing pilates session

For those who have never tried pilates, it’s actually a lot more challenging than you think. Nevertheless, it’s a good friend date to go on with your bestie to see who can actually last longer with their intense workout. You might not come back but at least you can say you’ve tried it (and laugh about being bad at it after).

8. Dance the night away at Aaliya’s Books with Beirut Swing

Did you know that Beirut had a vibrant swing scene? Their weekly meet up at Aaliya’s will take you back to 1920s Harlem, where you can spend the night learning the Lindy Hop with strangers. Their passionate community is always ready to welcome newcomers, so don’t be shy and put your dancing shoes on.

9. Check out Al Souq Al Oumoumi at Metro Al Madina

Anyone with a love for theater and music will love everything about the beloved Metro Al Madina‘s newest show, Al Souq Al Oumoumi. This vibrant spot is a great way to uplift your mood after a long week, so if you need a quick break from the real world, head over to Metro Al Madina.

Which of these indoor activities will you be taking on this week?
